Update – Governor’s Decision for Reopening & Plan

On the morning of Friday August 7, Governor Cuomo made the decision that schools in New York state may re-open in the Fall.  Each school has been asked to create a reopening plan.  The plan for Saint Adalbert Catholic Academy was reviewed by the Diocese on Tuesday August 4 and submitted to the state of New York and Department of Health.

The plan will be posted on Monday August 17.  A survey will be sent to parents to share any questions or concerns they may have.  Then a series of Virtual Meetings will take place to review the plan and to address the questions and concerns.

Drive-Thru Parade Wednesday 6/24 12:30pm

We will be having a Drive-Thru parade tomorrow for any family and student that would like to come and say good-bye to their teachers and to celebrate the end of a very challenging year.  For families with students in the lower grades N-3, please start arriving at 12:30.  For those families with student in grade 4-8, please arrive at 12:45.  If your family has students in both categories, you can pick your time slot.  If the entrance is backed up coming into the staff parking lot, we ask that you go around the block and then enter the line.

Drop-Off/Pick-up Information – Tuesday and Wednesday

This is a short summary of what will happen with the drop-off and pick-up over the next two days

1) Please arrive during your one of your assigned time slots

2)Enter through the staff parking lot entrance and go to a drive-in or walk-in lane. (If you are in a vehicle, please stay in the vehicle)

3) It would be very helpful if you could have the name and class of the student on a piece of paper to give to the helper working at your station.

4) A helper will give you a labeled plastic bag to return text books and classroom materials and another labeled bag for checked out devices (please include the charger).

5) You will put the items in the bags, and then give to the helper.

6) The helper will then give you a plastic bag with all the student’s items from the classroom.

The exchange process should be very quick which will allow for a smooth exit and entrance of the next vehicles.

Also, Yearbooks will be on sale for $25 if you would like to buy one.

If you are unable to arrive during your time slot, please contact the office or use St Adalbert Remind to let us now.

Student Item Drop-Off and Pick-Up Schedule

The schedule has been sent via Parent Alert and Remind.  If you are unable to make your assigned session time, please contact the school to make an appointment.  All student belongings from the classroom will be placed into a plastic bag labeled with the student name.  Two plastic bags will be provided with a student-named label – one for classroom items, one for iPad/Chromebook and Charger (if the student checked one out).
