NEW YORK STATE EXAMS — 4th, 6th, and 7th Grade Students

Students will only be taking part 1 of the ELA and Math exams this year which are Multiple Choice only. If you would like your students to opt-out of the exam, please send Mr. Morris an email at tmorris@diobrook.org The students are scheduled to take the ELA exam on April 20 beginning at 8:15am and the Math exam on Wednesday May 5.

There has been a debate on whether the state exams should have been administered by the state this year. However, students traditionally score higher on the 1st day than on the other parts. Also, scores are compared with those students in public and charter schools, who in many places, have not had in-person learning for the majority of the year.
